Who we are

SoleHunt ("we", "us", "our") is a shoe discovery and recommendation platform operated at solehunt.app. Contact: support@solehunt.app

What we collect

We collect minimal data:

• Analytics: anonymous page views and events via Plausible Analytics (no cookies, no personal data, GDPR-compliant by design).

• Price alerts: if you set a price alert, we store your email address and target price. We use this only to send you the alert and nothing else.

• No account registration is required to use SoleHunt.

Affiliate links and commissions

SoleHunt earns a commission from qualifying purchases made through affiliate links at no extra cost to you. We partner with affiliate networks including Impact.com, CJ Affiliate, Awin/ShareASale, Admitad, Tradedoubler, Commission Factory, and Rakuten Advertising.

Clicking an affiliate link may place a cookie on your device from the retailer's affiliate network. This cookie attributes the sale to SoleHunt for commission purposes and is governed by the respective network's privacy policy.

All affiliate links are marked with rel="nofollow sponsored" as required by Google and the FTC.

Cookies

SoleHunt itself sets no tracking cookies. We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless. Third-party retailer links may set affiliate tracking cookies when you click through — these are set by the retailer or their affiliate network, not by us.

How we use your data

We use data only to:

• Operate and improve SoleHunt

• Send price alerts you explicitly requested

• Understand aggregate traffic patterns (via Plausible, anonymously)

We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and never use it for retargeting.

Data retention

Price alert emails are deleted after the alert fires or after 180 days of inactivity, whichever is earlier. Analytics data is retained for 24 months in aggregate form with no individual identifiers.

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Correct inaccurate data

• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")

• Object to processing

• Data portability

To exercise any of these rights, email support@solehunt.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Third-party services

• Supabase (database hosting) — EU-based, GDPR-compliant

• Vercel (hosting) — SOC 2 Type II certified

• Plausible Analytics — EU-based, no personal data collected

• Affiliate networks — each has their own privacy policy covering cookies set after click-through

Children

SoleHunt is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, email support@solehunt.app and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted on the homepage for 30 days.
